Finished Bedroom!!

My room is finished! I finished it a week from yesterday, 8 days ago, and it is AWESOME!!!!! I just love my new redone bedroom. It is much better than the old ugly wallpaper, I am sure everyone can agree with me on that. I was so happy when it all got finished because it was such a big accomplishment for me. It took a lot of work but it was totally worth it. I really enjoyed doing it, the only thing that stunk was that I got the sickness my whole family had right when we finished up. So I was sick on Monday and Tuesday with some really bad headaches and back aches. A sickness that nobody wants, but I got lucky enough to get it :P. I will explain the process of redoing my room now.

The first day, Monday, we took everything out of my room and took down the big shelves. That had to have been the easiest working day out of all of them (with the exception of Tuesday). On Tuesday I had to go to the Dentist and then when we got home we worked on my room a little by finishing cleaning the walls, trim, and ceiling. Then we had to head to my Grandma's house and then off to Pizza Hut to go to the Pizza Days get-together. That was a lot of fun. Wednesday was another day with a bit more relaxation but not really. I had to babysit in the morning which wasn't necessarily too relaxing but there weren't any babies this time so it was a little bit easier. When I got home from babysitting not much had been done on my room but my younger sister Leah was up there taping the carpet and taping on the plastic so we could get started with plastering. When that was done we had to make sure the walls were all ready to plaster and then we got out the plaster and started plastering. That was a really big job. It took all afternoon and evening on Wednesday and even Thursday morning. When we were all done plastering on Thursday we began priming. The priming was another big job. That took the rest of the day on Thursday and part of Friday. We ended up running out of primer so my mom had to run to the store and get some. While she was off getting some more primer my sister Leah and I started painting the trim. We finished pretty quickly and stopped for lunch. Then my mom came back home and we finished priming. When my dad got home he helped us by priming the ceiling, since that was the biggest priming job and he is the tallest and fastest at it. Then after dinner my mom, dad, sister Leah, and I all went back up into my room and we painted the walls. After that it was getting late so we all went to bed. On Saturday we finished all the little details, like the stripes and painting the ceiling. When we finished the whole room we had to get to bed because it was late. I didn't get to move back into my room until Sunday afternoon. I lived this whole week without a door and I currently still don't have one. It was just primed last night and painted today so it should be put back on either tonight or tomorrow morning. I sure hope it will be tonight though. I just absolutely hate not having a door. It gets annoying because nobody ever knocks because there is no door and they just walk right in and start messing around. I will be very happy when this is all done and I will be back to normal.
